This valve is for hydraulic systems where 2 hydraulic tandem pumps generate a rapid traverse with low pressure and an operation with very high pressure.
The high speed is achieved by summing the displacement of both pumps. Full speed up to the set value of the low pressure VMD valve.
Slow drive after the displacement of the small pump.
Low speed operating pressure is controlled by the high pressure VMD valve.

This valve is used in a 2 pump circuit working in parallel to release the difference between the higher flow pump to tank when a certain pressure setting is reached. From then on, the pump works with the lower flow rate and the high pressure. This allows you to achieve a high system speed with low drive power.
